The Casa is at an elevation of 8,000ft, and is perched above the high desert town of Taos. Enjoy the wonderful views of the Truchas Peaks, the Jemez Mountains, and the sweep of the entire Taos valley. The Casa is cradled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the East and North, so the private deck looks up to rocky El Salto Peak and a spur of the Enchanted Mountain, Pueblo Peak. Don't forget to take in the amazing, dramatic sunsets and 60 mile views encompassing the twinkling lights of Los Alamos.

Casa Truchas is a 2500 square foot 3 bedroom home with unbeatable views of the entire Taos Valley. This vacation rental also has a one bedroom guest house - Casita Truchas - these properties can be rented together for larger groups or they can be rented separately. Although the Casita is situated a stones throw from the main house, both properties are very private and separate from one another. Both have private driveways and neither property overlooks the other one.
